A Humidor With Every Regional Cuban From 2005–2010 – Cigar Aficionado

A Humidor With Every Regional Cuban From 2005–2010

The cabinet humidor contains 158 cigars—two each of every Regional Edition from 2005 to 2010.

If you’ve spent the last decade and a half trying to collect every Regional Edition Cuban cigar ever released by Habanos S.A., the quest just got easier. Pacific Cigar Company Ltd. has amassed every Regional Edition cigar from every country spanning the first six years of the program and put them all in a limited-edition humidor appropriately called Humidor del Mundo: Humidor of the World.

Shaped like a large pillar, the cabinet humidor contains 158 cigars—two each of every Regional Edition from 2005 to 2010. This world tour collection includes everything from the Punch Super Finos created for Italy to officially kick off the program in 2005, to the Vegas Robaina Petit Robusto made just for France in 2010.

The humidor is decorated with a world map. Any country that’s represented in the cigar collection glows in the dark on the surface of the cabinet.

Over the years, some Regional Editions have been more difficult to acquire than others, and are often sold on the secondary market for much more than suggested retail price upon release. Missed the Por Larrañaga Magnificos (91 points) made for the U.K. back in 2007? It’s in this humidor. Or how about the Bolivar Armonías (95 points) for China? Or the Edmundo Dantes El Conde 109 (92 points) for Mexico? They’re in there too.

No matter the cigar you’re looking for, all are arranged in the humidor by year of release, with each drawer clearly marked by year. It should be noted that the cigars in this comprehensive assortment are from original production runs. These are not re-issued replicas with new tobacco, but were sourced from around the world especially for this project.

A collection of this sort doesn’t come cheap, and there aren’t many available. Only 10 humidors were created, each one retailing for HK$318,000, or about $40,572.

Pacific Cigar Co. Ltd. is the official Habanos distributor for most of Southeast Asia, including Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia North and South Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand and Australia.
