While the Year of the Ox began on February 12, a new humidor from Promocigar has begun arriving on store shelves around the world.
The Cohiba Year of the Ox humidor contains 88 of the Cohiba Short, a machine-made cigar that measures 3 1/4 x 26. The number of cigars in the humidor is a nod to the number 8, which is considered a lucky number in Chinese culture.
The humidor has a glossy, high lacquer black finish with a depiction of a golden ox in the lower right corner. It is limited to 5,000 individually numbered humidors.
As with all Cuban-made cigars, prices vary based on the local market. In Germany it is priced at €188 ($226.06) per box; in Hong Kong, it is priced at HKD3828 ($493.44); and in Switzerland it is offered at CHF218.80 ($236.43).
