Cuban cigar specialist Habanos – a Gold Partner at the inaugural Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo in October – will launch its Allones No.2 Limited Edition 2019 by Ramón Allones during a virtual event tomorrow, 19 August.

With a customary unveiling party out of the question, Habanos chose the UK as its launch location with key cigar retailers invited to take part in the celebration. The event will include local launches and tasting sessions, subject to government guidelines and the layout of individual ventures.

Habanos reveals its Ramón Allones Allones No.2

The goal, according to London-based retailer and distributor Hunters & Frankau, is for simultaneous virtual launches to take place across the country at 6.30pm.

Hunters & Frankau Executive Chairman Jemma Freeman and Corporate Director José Antonio Cejas Diaz will feature in a video to introduce the Ramón Allones Allones No.2.

Another short film includes interviews with specialists from the Cuban cigar industry and footage of the cigars being rolled in Cuba.

The Ramón Allones Allones No.2 is the brand’s third limited edition and is a classic Campana size: 5½” (140mm) x 52 ring gauge. The cigars are presented in boxes of ten pieces.

The Ramón Allones Allones No.2 follows the Montecristo Supremos. Quai D’Orsay Senadores is expected to be available later this year.

Virtual becomes reality for Habanos at the Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo

The unique 5-day ‘live’ event, followed by a 30-day showcase, begins on 12 October, just after the conclusion of the Chinese Golden Week holidays. It features a star-studded series of events across the five days, including a Symposium, category workshops and a new consumer research initiative.
