The Top 25 Cigars of 2020 Reveal Schedule – Cigar Aficionado

The Top 25 Cigars of 2020 are almost here. Every year, Cigar Aficionado conducts a tasting of the highest-scoring cigars from the past 365 days to determine which are good enough to make our Top 25, and which one cigar will rise above all the rest and be named Cigar of the Year.

Since this has been an especially different year, our Top 25 Cigars of 2020 will be revealed just after the New Year–setting 2021 off to a smoking start.

The schedule for the Top 25 list is as follows:

Monday, January 11: Cigars 10, 9 and 8
Tuesday, January 12: Cigars 7, 6 and 5
Wednesday, January 13: Cigars 4, 3 and 2
Thursday, January 14: The 2020 Cigar of the Year
Friday, January 15: Cigars 11 through 25

Tune in every day, starting at 10 am, to see which cigars made the cut and to watch videos of editors David Savona and Gregory Mottola smoking the Top 10 cigars.

Last year, a Nicaraguan cigar took the title for the first time since 2015, and the country has the most No. 1 awards with eight. Prior to that, Dominican cigars were on a three-year-streak, with cigars from three different brands claiming the top spot. A Cuban cigar hasn’t donned the belt since 2013. This year, it’s anybody’s ballgame.
